About Royal Enfield Himalayan

The Royal Enfield Himalayan is one of the best budget adventure bikes in India since its debut in 2016. The Himalayan is considered a good budget ADV because of its 411 cc engine and the maximum power and torque it generates.

While there are other small adventure bikes in the market, like the Hero XPulse, which is comparatively affordable but has a much smaller engine displacement. The latest model of the adventure bike, the 2021 Himalayan, is the successor of the BS-VI model and is Royal Enfield’s solution to the feedback it received from its customers about the adventure bike.

The Himalayan starts at an ex-showroom price of ₹ 1,94,641 for the base variant, and for the top variant, the price begins at ₹ 2,08,520.

The Royal Enfield adventure bike is available in six variants. The two base variants include the Himalayan Gravel Grey and Himalayan Mirage Silver, whereas the two standard variants are the Himalayan Lake Blue and Himalayan Rock Red. I owned RE Himalayan in September 2016 bs3 version, although there are so many quality issues and other issues are there in bs 3 version, but I did not faced any issues regrading quality and other things like electronic , oil leakage, etc. I rode it around 22000 km and Himalayan gave me pure riding experience and also the service center facility is better now.Just I want to say one thing to RE , that it should have some more power around 28 to 30 bhp just for good Highway cruising.

I have experienced a very bad service from Royal Enfield showroom Bengaluru .. After service they told us to take a test drive and come after 10 days..after a drive we understood the service was not done properly..the service cost is ?40500...there was as issue with handle and they changed parts which do not have any type of damage..so after when we took the vehicle to the showroom several times and then they told they don’t have any time to look after it and do the service in kerala...And also the insurance amount is not yet reflected..its been one and half month..they don’t have any responsibility towards it..they do not make any call back or nothing.. it was horrible... The insurance company is NEW INDIA ASSURANCE

I've been using the Himalayan since one year , the power , comfort and satisfaction when riding is very good but when coming to the service and company's attention to the customer service is very poor . There's always unavailability of spare parts , accesories in the dealerships . They always have a answer that the bike has no demand in that particular region that's the reason why they don't have the parts or spares . The service is very poor and they don't know how to handle a customer . Poor accountability .Poor service . I still have the regret that I've chose Himalayan to Dominar

The design of the Himalayan 2021 has been kept rugged with a few modern touches while preserving the adventure bike touches. The fuel tank shape is a highlight that adds to the premium and sturdy look. In terms of functionality, it offers great knee support and balances while standing up.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan bikes have a tank capacity of 15 L and offer a mileage of 39.9 kmpl. So with a full tank, you can expect to cover nearly 450 kilometres non-stop.

In terms of features, the Himalayan bike offers all essential characteristics, including the hazard warning, a tripper navigation system which is powered by Google Maps. Furthermore, a semi-digital instrumentation panel is also included that displays odometer, speed, temperature and rpm.

The windscreen is upgraded to offer protection against the wind blast while cruising along with the bike.

The on-road price of the base variant of the Royal Enfield Himalayan is ₹ 2.36 lac. The on-road price is for the capital city, Delhi. However, the price might vary in other cities.

The standard variant, Himalayan Dual Tone - BS-VI 2021, has an on-road price of ₹ 2.40 lacs for New Delhi, including RTO and Insurance. The Royal Enfield Himalayan top model is available at an on-road price of ₹ 2.44 lac.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan competes with BMW G310 GS and KTM 390 Adventure in the Indian market under the ‘adventure bikes’ section. However, the benefit of Himalayan is that it is a lot more affordable compared to the other two.
